Human Rights and Engineering

Jessica Wyndham, associate director of the Scientific Responsibility, Human Rights, and Law Program at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), spoke with David Walsh, editor of asme.org, about the changing role of engineers in the 21st century and the growing opportunities to work in the field of human rights. Read this article here.

Ms. Wyndham’s has agreed to author an article on the thought-provoking topic of the intersection between human rights and engineering. Look for it in the SEPTEMBER issue of MECHANICAL ENGINEERING magazine.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my
4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
